I build small web products around things I have expertise in.
So far, I've shipped two learning tools: a chess repertoire generator and an adaptive exam trainer. Both reached real users, received positive feedback and taught me a lot about building learning tools 🙂
A chess opening tool that creates trainable repertoires from Lichess game statistics.
Why I built it: I wanted a simple and fast way to build effective repertoires (based on real game statistics)
My background: 2300 chess.com rating, some experience as a coach.
Launch: One Reddit post, organic usage months after launch.
An adaptive Russian exam trainer with try mode, daily sessions and endless practice, powered by a FSRS engine.
Why I built it: Lack of adaptive tools with good UX/UI design to prepare for Russian State Exam.
My background: Built from tutoring experience and frustration with other similar tools.
Launch: Small paid traffic test that helped to validate the idea.
